I swear, I'm not dead. I've been working full time, stressing about giftmas, and MOVING of all things. Nearly everyday this month I've been moving shit down three flights of stairs. I've been active, just not hitting the gym. I'm hoping to get back on track on thursday.

I get to try out my fancy new oly shoes then. Expect close stance squats, cleans, and snatches galore.

Dude, the Holidays and moving are two of the most stressful things ever.

I'm feeling kinda like you and Zero on the PL stuff.
What I'm starting is a 3 week rotation.
Week 1 is Olympic oriented.
Week 2 is power lifting oriented.
Week 3 is strongman / Enamait oriented.
I have no idea what kind of gains I'll make on the big three, if any, but I needed to shake things up a bit.
I like that Bulgarian Blitz stuff.

The same ol' squat/deads/bench routine is just boring the crap out of me.

This soon-to-be routine plays double duty. Breaking up the monotony and preparing me for my second highland games. I'm hoping to make some good gains in the Oly lifts once my technique improves and I'm doing them regularly.

Moving sucks.

First day back. Forgot my log at the gym.
January 4, 2008

This is to the best of my memory:
All weights in KGs

Snatch: 50x2, 60x1, 70x1x3

C+J: 85x2, 95x1, 105x1x3 Ripped Callus x 1

I was surprised I got 105 up, since I've been having a hard time with it lately. Thanks to the holiday off I guess.

Front Squat:
95x2, 105x1, 115x1x3, 100x2x2

Bulgarian Blitz FTW!

looks like a lot of S&Ps, including me, are doing olympic lifts for the new Years, keep at it, good luck on your second highland games

I know my form is shit and I'm mostly muscling up the weight but it takes time so I'm not stressin it

I went out for a few drinks for my birthday last saturday night. Woke up with what turned into a very nasty cold. Today was the first day I felt good enough to hit the gym again.

January 11th, 2008

Snatch
50x2, 60x1, 70x1x3

70 is getting easier and easier. My form must be improving. Awesome

C+J
85x2, 95x1, 105x1x3

105 was a fucking joke. I may try for a PR sometime soon.

Front Squat
95x2, 105x1, 115x1x3, 100x2x2

I'm loving this routine.

Are you doing the 3 days a week version? I believe the B and especially C weeks could get pretty tough.

Also, will you be doing even training for the Highland Games or just turn up and hope for the best?

The Games are in late may. I'll start adding some specific Games training in mid march. By then the snow should be mostly melted and it'll allow for more vigorous outdoor training.

We'll see how it goes. I might just add in a day of SPP to my 3 a week Oly training. Or if that ends up being too much, replace a day.

Yeah, I'm doing the 3-day a week version. Being sick all this week fucked up my week progression, so after my next session, week 2, or "B" begins.
