I have to max out on my Oly lifts soon. I can clean 225 with relative ease. But can't get 235 up. 245 is my best ever, but I've never been able to repeat it. My snatch is pathetic. 70kgs was a fucking bitch, but I got it. I'd like to hit 75-80 before starting this routine.

The powerlifting-esque routine of mine right now is boring me to no end. I think this Oly routine and a lot more grip work will help spice things up. I'm also doing it as a build up to my second highland games.

So Alan, were you coached on the Olympic lifts or just trying to learn them on the fly? I know they're very complicated and small little tweaks in form can really hurt the lift.

I taught myself. And then I had members of the provincial oly association critique my technique to get better. My snatch still needs work, but not much.

Zero: Late may

Standard: yes

I wish I had some one around here who could teach me that stuff. I'm going to post videos and try to get my form critiqued, that's my only option. Are you going to use power or full cleans while using that workout?

Low power cleans. Not quite full cleans, not quite power cleans.
