Update:
Been doing stuff, but nothing of real significance. Some heavy deads (495lbs), MMA practice even though I shouldn't w/ the small cuts, some conditioning, some firetending, etc.
Time to get back on the diet and get back to training, though; so with that:

Sept. Conditioning Challenge:
Total weight moved doing clean and press in 4 minutes.

135 lbs x 26 (3510lbs moved) in 4 minutes.

Tuck Jump Pyramid
I would do the number of tuck jumps, then rest for a number of seconds equal to that before moving up or down, so it was 1 jump/ 1 second rest, 2 jumps, 2 seconds rest, etc up to 10, then back down.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
Total Tuck jumps: 100

Impressions:
Kind of disappointed in my clean and press. I was hoping to get to 30 reps (which I will do by the end of the month). Other than that, a short and sweet workout.

Those knee tucks are interesting. Not sure if I seen that before.

As for your C&P, I was thinking you'd at least beat Anal. There's over 3 weeks left in the month, I'm sure you'll prove me right,

I am too. I did this after the fights with no warm up and a day of shitty food. Still, I have a bad track record of beating Cap'n in pressing comps.

I have a feeling you'll be wearing the Conditioning Champ belt in Oct.

Call me an optimist.

Also, what did you think of the fights tonight? Never mind Chucks', but rather Nate and Kampann, or Franklin and Hamil.

I'd like to hear (re:read) your take on 'em.

i view finnegan's style becoming very similiar to nate's. not sure why.

and that body shot at the end was excellent. i'm glad people are finally seeing what that kid can do.

I love this workout. May do the exact same thing or similar on my GPP day this week. Cool.

Impressions from the fights:
Matt Brown really wanted to win a fight of the night bonus I think. He was busting out some crazy moves. Close fight. Brown is going to get his shit pushed in by someone who counterpunches his lowkicks though.

Marquardt showed some really good aggression. With his skillset, I thought he'd take it down. I'm going to re-watch it and check out his combos he was throwing when he had Kampmann against the cage. Good stuff.

Hendo fought a very smart fight. I'm not surprised at all by his strategy. Palhares is going to fuck some people up in the near future though.

The Franklin/ Hammil fight it was obvious that each of them were very tenative about mixing it up in the other one's domain, but it seemed like Hammill forgot he was wrestler completely. You could see the point where he mentally broke and just went into survival mode. Franklin's liver kick was beautiful. He should definitely stay at 205.

Not surprised by Liddell/ Evans at all. I thought Chuck would take it, but he came in throwing a rear uppercut with his hands down against a guy who is 2 times faster than him, same way Jackson caught him. He's lost the last 3 out of 4 now. Might be time to bow out or get a different boxing coach since people are figuring out his style.

I've held this position for a LONG time. Look at the multitude of good fighters that come out of/are attracted to train at Greg Jackson's camp, Couture's camp, AKA, etc. The PIT has essentially been a "1 fighter camp" for a long time. I have seen a couple guys come from the PIT and have a bout or two in the UFC, but they never amounted to much. The training at a camp full of top contenders/champs must be at an entirely different level than a "1 fighter camp," especially when that one fighter has fallen from champ/top contender status.

I know Chuck has been with John Hackleman for a long time and probably has a close personal relationship with him, but he is not benefiting as a fighter by staying there, at least in its present condition.
