Saturday 9/15

Squat- 225x5, 245x5, 255x5, 265x5, 275x5
Box squats- 135x5, 155x5, 170x5
Bear workout (or what ever the hell it's called)- 2 sets of 5 reps @ 95 lbs.

Was feeling OK today, but my friend's squat form was terrible so before I even did my first rep I had done about 100 BW/135 lb squats just to show him what he was doing wrong, so that hurt me in the end. I also felt a small tweak of some kind in my left thigh, it was weird, it felt like my thigh muscle swelled up to twice its size. It's fine now though.

Also, the bear workout was FUCKED up. I went light just to try it out and I'm hurting like hell right now. I wanted to do GM's after but I was tired and was pressed for time since I worked on my friend's form so much. Overall good day, I think I'm starting up Kempo on Monday so I'll probably add how that went then.

I was hurting. I was going to try 135 but I talked myself out of it thank god. That would have been brutal/impossible.

Tuesday I am doing power cleans, I'm so excited

Tuesday 9/18

Power Cleans- 135x5, 140x5, 145x5, 150x5, 155x5
Good Mornings- 135x5, 145x5, 155x5
B.O.R- 135x5, 145x5, 155x5

First time doing power cleans in a while and it felt damn good. It's one of my favorite lifts. I was in and out of the gym quick because I worked out alone today. Not much else to say, except I thought I did less weight with BOR last week so I ended up not increasing at all which I'm annoyed about now.

Where can I fit in my OHP, I'm assuming on my bench press day, correct?

Thursday 9/20

Bench Press- 190x5, 195x5, 205x5, 215x4(failed 5th rep), 215x3(failed 4th rep)
Dips- BWx5, BWx5, BWx5
Close Grip Bench- 140x5, 150x5, 160x5

I've came to the conclusion that my bench press sucks, and it really aggravates me. I need to look at the FAQ about improving my bench press. Other than that I feel pretty good, and tomorrow I think I'm going to do car pushes as some good conditioning. Critique away...

Saturday 9/22

Squat- 235x5, 245x5, 265x5, 275x5, 285x5
Overhead Squat- 95x5, 105x5, 115x5
Bear workout- 95x5, 105x5

Felt really good today. On Thursday I decided to drink 2 protein shakes instead of just one and it really improved my recovery. I was in and out again from the gym because my friend is a pussy and didn't come (within a month or two I'll almost guarantee he won't workout with me anymore, he keeps talking about doing higher reps with lower weight), so he only went once this week. Overhead squats are really tough and made me realize my core is actually kind of weak and I need to work on it. Bear workout was ridiculous as usual, absolutely kicked my ass.

I want to work in snatches one day, would it be better on DL or Squat day? I would think squat but I want some more input.

Tuesday 9/25

Deadlift- 235x5, 245x5, 255x5, 275x5, 305x5
RDL- 150x5, 160x5, 170x5
B.O.R.- 150x5, 160x5, 170x5

Today was my first day taking Beta Alanine, and I didn't think it would work too well considering it was my first day taking it, but man, was I wrong. 2 minutes after downing it, I had the tingles like crazy and felt completely amped at the gym. On my last set for my DL I was going to go for 285 since last time I did 275, but I felt too good, did 305 and had no problem with it what so ever.

I think on Thursday, when I do my Bench press day, I think I'm going to try to do 15 rep bench press to switch it up a little bit since I've been stuck on a plateau for 2 or 3 weeks now. Good idea?

Questions/comments/concerns/critiques are always welcome

Thursday 9/27

Bench Press- 185x5, 195x5, 205x5, 215x3 (failed 4th rep), 215x3 (failed 4th rep)
Dips- BWx5, BWx5, BWx5

My bench is fucking pathetic. It's really frustrating me now. I wanted to do 12 reps with lower weight today just to switch it up but I SERIOUSLY pressed for time (hence why I didn't do a 3rd exercise). I REALLY need to improve my bench, it's always been my weakest lift by far.

Any ways, dips are starting to become one of my favorite exercises, I don't know why but I love them. Can't wait to start doing weighted dips

Saturday 9/29

Missed my workout on Saturday. I got pretty fucking drunk with my girlfriend on Friday night. I didn't plan on it, but I was up until almost 5 am and didn't get up until 2 pm and had work at 3.

I haven't missed a workout in a long time, so I'm not TOO pissed, but it was squat day so that pissed me off quite a bit.
