Tuesday 8/26 Sheiko #29 Week 4 Day 1

Squats
170x5 (50%)
205x4 (60%)
240x3x2 (70%)
275x3x3 (80%)

Pause Bench Press
135x5 (55%)
160x5 (65%)
185x4x3 (75%)

Dips
BWx8x3

Front Squat
170x4x2 (50%)
205x3 (60%)

Modified today slightly because I didn't have that much time, so instead of axing whole lifts I took a few sets off of each one. Fucking school and work.

This was the only time I lifted last week. I was supposed to go to the gym Saturday but I got out of work at 11 instead of 8. I still headed over to the gym, but they were closed. Fuck me.

Tuesday 9/2 Sheiko #30 Week 1 Day 1

Pause Bench Press
120x5 (50%)
145x4x2 (60%)
170x3x2 (70%)
195x3x5 (80%)

Squats
170x5 (50%)
205x4 (60%)
240x3x2 (70%)
275x3x5 (80%)

Had to go to class after this set. Went right from class to work and then right from work right back to the gym. Finished up the day.

Pause Bench Press
120x5 (50%)
145x5 (50%)
170x5x5 (70%)

Squats
190x5 (55%)
225x4 (65%)
255x3x5 (75%)

These past two weeks have sucked. Full time school + full time work + Sheiko is a killer. I also need to start putting in more time dedicated to strongman. I'll start subbing out lifts on the 2nd day of the week to train some events.

I need a day off.

*jumps for joy*

I can't see myself ever finishing a whole day as it is listed, but I liked what I did last week where instead of say just taking out the 2nd squat session for instance, I cut out 2 or 3 sets off each lift. It's probably not the best way of doing things but I have to make do right now.

I also need to get a squat video up, they feel funny again. I'm definitely pushing my hips back far enough, but the bar placement feels weird and coming out of the hole I've been noticing my knees come in, not forward, but in. WTF is that?

Thursday 9/4 Events gone awry

Log clean and press (1 clean, press for reps)
95x5 (strict)
145x5 (strict)
185x2 (1 strict, 1 push press)
215x0
215x0
215x1 (push press)

Here I was about to do yoke, but I go to move my car and m tire is flat. Flat to the point where it wasn't even possible to drive it. So I take 30 minutes or so to take off the tire, run up to the gas station to fill it up and then mount it again. After that I did some quick yoke because I was now in a huge rush.

Yoke (took each for about 40ft or so, the length of my driveway)
90
270
370

All easy, I should have went heavier but I was really short on time. I may have to jump off the Sheiko bandwagon until my job stops giving me so many hours while I'm in school. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do.

Friday 9/5 Sheiko #30 Week 1 Day 2

Deadlifts
245x5 (50%)
290x4x2 (60%)
340x3x2 (70%)
385x3 (80%)

Pause Bench Press
135x5 (50%)
150x5 (60%)
175x4x2 (70%)
210x1x2 (85%)

Done today. I had to cut everything REALLY short because I had to bring my car in to the shop and didn't get it back until about 1:30. The deadlifts felt terrible, everything felt very heavy today. I need to still eating a little bit more, getting a little more sleep and not workout 2 days in a row if possible.

Monday 9/8 Sheiko #30, Week 2 Day 1

Squats
175x5 (50%)
210x4x2 (60%)
245x3x2 (70%)
280x2x2 (80%)
315x1x3 (90%)

Pause Bench Press
125x5 (50%)
150x4 (60%)
175x3x2(70%)
200x2x6 (80%)

Squats
175x5 (50%)
210x4 (60%)
245x3x2 (70%)
280x2x4 (80%)

Today felt great. All my squats felt very good, my form even felt very good. I'm not sure what to contribute today to. I took some caffeine pills before the gym to give me a little boost, or that I lifted at 5pm and had 3 meals in me, or the good sleep I got the past couple nights, but I'm going to assume it was a combo of all three.

I watched a diesel crew video on the proper bench form before I went to the gym and my set up felt very good and the bench sets were all strong.

Haven't commented in here for a while.

Nice workouts.

I can see Sheiko in my future.

Time consuming and tough if you aren't used to the volume, but I like it a lot. I want to try for some PRs but I also don't want to ruin the cycle, I'm thinking maybe on the next cycle I will. I would like it more if I lifted at home because my main complaint is it takes me a good while to complete and I get real hungry. I should start bringing protein bars now that I think about it.
