Have you tried Zercher squats? They rock. Don't let the elbow discomfort scare you off, you'll get used to it pretty quickly.

Honestly have not. I've read about a lot of the guys doing them on these forums, perhaps will give it a go. I've done the BB cross arms style of front squat but I can't rack the bar for crap. My want to do cleans, and I get the impression that the other type of front squat allows for a person to carry more weight. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Freeman try using straps on front squats. Thread the straps around the bar and make a D shape with them then wind them on your hands nice and tight....you're good to go....this is what I do due to poor wrist flexibility...

I'm not sure whether clean-position front squats would allow you to use more weight than cross-arms front squats. But for me, at least, I can do way more weight with Zerchers than with either of those.

If you can improve your flexibility to where you can clean grip your fronts, it'll help your push press/jerk immensely. I started out lacking the flexibility to clean grip my fronts, but worked on it a ton and it's now the only way I'd even think of front squatting.
(NOTE TO TAYON: ^^^THAT APPLIES TO YOU, TOO.)
Zerchers are, of course, wonderful, as well.
