I'm definitely not squatting again until Sunday, and that's gonna be an all-out effort -- long warm-up, leisurely breaks, crankin' music (iPod hooked up to weight room sound system), people yelling at me.

Maybe I should take a break from lifting today. I was gonna do some benching. But maybe I should skip the session.

Same for me. I love my new setup cause come monday I'm always ridiculously fresh from the 3 days off. I'll be going for a PR on monday. I'm mad nervous though, not sure if I should go for +20 lbs or +10 lbs. What has me worried is either gassing myself on +10 and not being able to get the +20 after or trying the +20 and ending up wearing myself out so I don't get any PR.. :\

BARBELL BACK SQUATS, PL STYLE

Bare Oly bar (45 lbs.), 5 reps, 2 sets
95 lbs., 5 reps, 1 set
135 lbs., 5 reps, 2 sets
185 lbs., 3 reps, 1 set
225 lbs., single

Put on belt
255 lbs., single -- surprisingly easy
285 lbs., single -- +10 lbs., PR

295 lbs., 2 singles with assistance from spotter. Damn. Almost had 'em, but not quite
225 lbs., single with assistance from spotter
225 lbs., single

I didn't get the PR on video but if need be I'll shoot video ASAP. I think I could get 285 again, now that I've gotten past the psychological barrier of doing it once.

25-pound PR; + 100 for the competition

The PR vid is posted in the Pub and in the Finale thread. My back rounds too much, cuz I suck at stuff, but the Pub consensus was that it was an OK lift.

Squat 225 x 3 (warming up to PR)
Squat 350 x 0 (failed miserably)

As punishment for failing I did the following:

Squat 225 x 5
Squat 225 x 5
Squat 225 x 5
Squat 225 x 5
Squat 225 x 5
Squat 225 x 5
Squat 225 x 5

Now my legs and back is dead. I'm really bummed I didn't get another 15 lbs at the end. Looking back I really did a shit job this whole contest. I should of lifted every squat session with the volume I used tonight.

I'm posting my 335 vid in the finale thread tonight.

edit: omfg.. I don't know where my 335 vid is. I thought it was on my youtube account but the only one on there is 325. Fuck.

I just wanted to say congratulations to all you guys on your progress, and I apologize for not noticing the update to the rules that required all videos to be submitted by the close of the comp.

As things turned out I wasn't able to go squat last night, so I didn't get a video handed in on time.

Depending on what happens with the totals/standings, I will make a video ASAP if I need to.
