One of these extra grappling sessions.
Drilled and focused on overhook-triangle, reverse armbar, omoplata.
Good stuff.

2006-07-07 Running
2.5k running.... Fucking sick incline, basicly running upwards a skislope... Legs hurting like a mofo from the squats the day before so it was no fun to run upwards that incline... Also really fucking hungover...
Was good to feel that I need more of this kind of running... Among much other things I need.... hmm..

Still a bit hungover from the partying... Explained some fundamentals of the guard for a newb and got just a little ligth sparing in. Then I had to leave early to make it to work.

First long hours on the work...
2006-07-11 Strength Training
Military press
1 x 50kg
4 x 50kg
2 x 52.5kg
4 x 52.5kg
5 x 55kg
1 x 57.5kg
2 x 57.5kg
3 x 57.5kg
The 5 at 55kg was hard, but I didnt have to kill myself to make it this time.. Felt fucking good.
57.5kg on the low reps felt manageable... Fuck yes 60kg here I come but I will stabilise at 57.5kg first I think...
BOR
6 x 85kg
6 x 85kg
5 x 87.5kg
5 x 87.5kg
The first at 87.5kg felt good as hell... The second well my back felt like jello, I didnt really get into my prefered posture for it and well it felt a bit of... But still BORS was pretty good to me today all in all...
Pull through
10 x 50kg
10 x 50kg
Cut it short here to make it to the buss... Not a bad session at all...

Have been a lot of work this week, so am glad to have got some training in this far atleast...
2006-07-14 1.5 hour mma (grappling focus)
First teaching some newbs about fundamentals, then some sparing for me....
Another one of those ligth sessions that have been a few to many for a while....
...Anyhow... Got some plans for the early fall competition wise... Will await a day or 2 to write anything about it because I want to see about a few things first.... But be not surprised if this log jumps into a heavier gear soon with some real training being done... ... ...
They who live will see...

2006-07-15 2 hour MMA
This session was two things:
1. It was me teaching newbs about grappling fundamentals... And some ligth sparring to go along with this....
2. It was vale tudo style sparing with the big beast, vale tudo gloves (a bit more pading than the pro version but still), standing leg kicks to the ones that one their back and stomps to the body... It was quite intense and fun shit! Sligth headache from all the pepering punches from within the guard but it went away fast... -Good shit-

2006-07-16 2 hour MMA
-Warmup conditioning, did the normal running getting joints warm shit, did bearwalk+pushup combo descently hard
-Pummeling, fairly good hard pummeling
-Boxing "tags" where you focus on your footwork to "tag" the others shoulder and knee with your open hands.. Really fun drill to throw in once in a while to put some focus on the footwork and its quite good for conditioning to...
-Rest of the session was ligth as fuck with a lot of teaching newbs, some sparing and drilling with them but nothing hard (for me) they thought it was pretty though though..
Although I feel it would be better for me to be the one thaught more and to get more heavy training it is still good teaching beginers, it helps me conceptualise and break the grappling game down and I do believe I learn -lots and lots- of shit from it... But I still need to crank up the intensity... Naturally the point of teaching the newbs is to produce good grapplers and training partners for us self but that only works with the people that sticks around for the long haul and as always with anything excersice related its always a circulation of people.. No mather how good or how cheap any training is that is just simply the way it is...
