I did for a year but fractured one of my lower vertebrae. Scared me off from squats, deadlifts, effective core work, and anything that was beneficial for several years. I really regret not being able to do it all 4 years

1 1/2 of judo- went over some throws and then got some ground work at the end

Stuck around for an hour of kickboxing, felt pretty good but I need to work on closing the distance. And... one of my kicks got checked with a knee and hit in the worst possible spot. Spent the rest of the night with most of my weight on my left leg

Usually a lifting day but my buddy is still sick and Im feeling a day off. Did about an hour of stand up sparring, felt pretty good besides my shin/calf which is still killing me

Forgot to put this in last night. Did some more striking today (done alot this week). Only one guy showed up to class so we did some pad work, shadowboxing, goofed around with ground and pound on the heavy bag for a few rounds; then sparred for about 45 minutes. Felt very crisp, very accurate last night. My crosses (which I usually have trouble with) were going straight down the middle and I felt like they were making solid contact.

He will usually try to take me down if he does not like how the striking round is going, gives me a chance to work on ground work with punches goin. Also felt good, nothing taxes the cardio more though, especially if not relaxed

Workout 4

Felt pretty damn good today to get back to the weights.
Buddy was finally feelen good again.

Preworkout-
Animal Pump and Some accelerade

Workout-

Front Squats (Im going to work in normal squats again soon)

1st set- 5 x 135 lbs
2nd set- 5 x 135 lbs
3rd set- 5 x 155 lbs
4th set- 4 x 175 lbs
5th set- 4 x 210 lbs (New pr in a sense, I think I can do more)

Overhead Press (haven’t done this exercise in FOREVER, my numbers show this)

1st set- 5 x 115 lbs
2nd set- 5 x 115 lbs
3rd set- 5 x 135 lbs
4th set- 4 x 155 lbs
5th set- 2 x 165 lbs

Going to have to get back up to sets of 185 again.

Complexes-

Deadlift x 5
Hang Clean x 5
OHP x 10
Front/Overhead squat x 5-6
Bent over rows x 10

1st Set- 90lbs
2nd set-90 lbs
3rd set-90 lbs
4th set-100 lbs

Post workout-
25g Whey with roughly 50g Oatmeal

Overall workout felt pretty good. Before I even started, dude in front of me hang cleaned 275 for 3 then 295… I know what I need to achieve now, was very impressive. Going out tonight for stop day (last day of classes) Looking forward to 2 ½ hours of jiu jitsu and boxing tomorrow. Even if Im the instructor right now for JJ.

About an hour and a half of grappling, good turnout today. Still getting owned by wrestling. Then did an hour of striking, felt pretty solid, even against guys that rushed me

Great workout today, very happy with it. Were doing max’s this week before winterbreak.
