Derrick's get strong and beat ass log
ive given up track this year as a competitive sport and im doing jiujutsu/mma instead. the goal is to fight at 170 and win a lot. my first jiujutsu tournament is april 29th in seattle and ill probably be competing in the 159-171 weight class, unless by some freak accident i end up weighing 158 on the day (im not going to cut weight). ill compete no gi and gi, and im not sure if ill be a blue belt or a white belt. i should be ready for my blue belt in the next month, but my instructor might make me compete before he gives me one.
some stats:
Derrick Brito
weight: 160 + or - 3
height: 5'9-10"
deadlift: 335
squat: 235
bench: 205
powerclean: 205
100:11.3
40: <5
some preliminary goals:
deadlift 365
squat 275
bench over 200 again
powerclean over 200 again
March 29,2006
im stuck in bellevue because my car is in the shop, so ill be back in jiujustu about friday. since i have tons of weights at my house i did some weak stuff to get back into things:
4s10r@132(?) overhand deadlift
ill practice some drills and air striking later tonight.

Good luck with your program. I'm curious as to your terminology. What does 4s10r@152(?) mean?

Tuf luck at the tournament. I lost quite a few tournaments before actually winning. So don't lose hope! Congrats with your blue belt. How long have you been training?
