Hey farmboy, hang in there. This stuff goes in waves, you know?

Ok, now I'm going to preach:

set a goal. Be it a 10k race, a grappling tournament, a bike race, something. Find the event, maybe about 3 months out from now. SIGN UP. Fill out all the registration forms, pay your money, tell all your friends and family that you're going to do it, tell us losers here at sherdog you're going to do it. We'll hammer you on it. Your friends will ask you how the training is going, your family will nag you about it. Find the event and sign up: DO IT THIS WEEK.

End of preaching session.

Hope you're groin issue is ok. I had complications down there after getting "snipped". Not fun.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

You know, that is the best advice I ever could have gotten. I guess when you get comfortable with where you're at and have nothing pushing you forward, you can tend to stagnate. I think that's what has happened to me. And this string of missed training due to whatever circumstances hasn't helped much, either. I think that when I was posting in my log daily, it really helped me to stay focused and semi-on-track.

I think I'll have to start keeping track of that again. I know I've been eating like crap lately, too. That's probably part of the reason that I feel like death warmed over lately. For so long, I was eating fairly healthy, and was feeling great. Now I'me just noticing the change.

I need to replace the French fries with a salad and the apple pie with an apple, lol. And the suggestion to set a goal by making a commitment to compete at a tournament is brilliant! Now I just need to find around here, so if anyone knows about any tournaments coming up near, say, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, Scranton, or Albany let me know.
