Hey Farmboy, you might already know but we are going full blown MMA at WNYMMA and focusing a little less on BJJ. We will still be grappling, just not as focused as it was in 2006.

Yeah, I actually rarely post on Sherdog anymore. I do check out WNYMMA a lot, though, even though I don't always post. Still training, but it's tough to keep a log. I hope to make that Militech seminar coming up. I saw you guys are lookng at bringing Trigg around, too, right?

What a pisser. I got staph, again. This time on my arm. It's not quite as painful, but it's still sore. Feels like somehting trying to push out of my skin. It comes on so fast, too. I was fine in class on Saturday and by last night my arm just above the wrist looked like I'd gotten bitten by a freakin' brown recluse! I'm making a doctor's appointment today. This stinks!

Man i hope that staph clears up quickly, it always sucks to miss training due to pesky stuff like that!

Thanks, guys. Yeah, it's the second time I had it in not too long. I'm wondering if it ever completely went away in the first place.

Loss of motivation is a bitch

I know I've got no one and nothing to blame but myself. This past week was not great, and it seems that this week is shaping up to follow suit. Last week I went to class on Monday. This rant kind of goes along with the "reasons you miss training" thread from the grappling forum. Tuesday I normally don't go to class. Wednesday I don't every because we have a church function on that night. Thursday I had a friend coming into town that I get to see like once a year. Friday is mma night, and I normally don't go anyway. Saturday I usually go to the no-gi class/open mat, but this week was my son's youth basketball "banquet." Turned out they served and crappy breakfast meal and a bunch of self-absorbed old men talked about what the "coaches choice" award means to them. My son was ready to leave after an hour. So, I missed most of last week, due to certain circumstances, most actually being my fault.

This week I have a massive head cold. My ears feel like they're going to pop. I took Sudafed, but from how it feels, I may as well have popped a couple Skittles. Actually, at least they would have tasted good. I got a doctor's appointment to check out some freakin' growth I got in my groinal area. Looking real forward to that. Best case it's a swollen lymph node, worst case, it's a tumor. Either way, what fun.

I'm not overly worried about it, though.

Anyway, I've been excessively tired, lately, to the point where it's tough to get my ass out of bed in the morning to lift. I don't know if it's the weather or what. Or, more likely, the fact that I've been eating like crap for the past month.

I guess it's kind of hard to stay motivated about training when you don't get any support. Wow, the earlier stuff sounded whiney, but that last line just sounded like a whiney little bitch. I apologize. I think I just need to get off my ass and stop feeling sorry for myself.

What a great log this turned out to be...
