Good luck with your back. Don't take chances with that.

Thanks, man. I probably waited too long as it is, but I'll get it straightened out.

Went to the doctor today. I have some inflamed muscle between a couple of ribs, or something like that. Not too bad. Just have to take it a bit easy (yeah right) and I got a prescription for some motrin.
I did some ab exercises this morning and I'm going to do some grip work tonight. I still need to start running regularly.

Yeah, I've kind of been slacking on it, lately, half because my grappling training has been on a bit of a hiatus for a couple weeks. I stopped trying to log what I eat, but I may pick that back up, because lately I've been eating a little crappy. When I was keeping track of it, I'd watch more what I was eating. The back is getting better, though. It's not too bad, anyway. I just take a motrin or something. Thanks for checking the log out, though.

Yeah, my deadlift really seems to be coming along nicely. My squat and bench, oh the other hand...
Anyway, I wanted to post that I finally got to go back to judo for the first time since the tournament. It felt great to put the gi back on and step on the mat. I didn't talk to the admissions of the college, so technically I'm not part of the class, but when I stopped by before class to show Pete the video of the tourney, he was like "Where's your gi?" Nice!
It was a small class, and it was hot as Hell! Plus, the college had shoved us all the way over to one side of the gym because there was a basketball game going on. There were a bunch of pricks that kept walking past us, even though there was no need and they had been asked to stay on the other side of the bleachers. One of them made a snide "judo chop!" comment. We were like, "Step on the mat, punk." Whatever.
So, I will be getting back to judo full-time. After the experience of the past tournament, I've decided that it's necessary for me to compete in whatever upcoming comps that I am able to. Now the spiit of judo is really in my blood!
