Jujitsu at the hombu Dojo

This will be hard for me to log at first, as I'm totally new to this and dont know my ass from my elbow yet, but I'll try.

Warm up consisted of running around the place in circles, forward, backward, sideways, and rolling drills, constantly without stopping, for about a half hour.

Another 45 minutes of techniques, consisting of some throws and submissions, and some ground work, escapes etc.

The last 15-20 minutes was just grappling, I got tooled on badly by one guy, while others made me work for things and gave me some openings for what I know.

Nice bit of pain from all this today.

Monday 3/11

5x5 Week 19 begins:

SQUAT

Light warmup.

5x180
5x210
5x240
5x270
5x300 (FAILED, had to stop at 4, AAARRGH!)

I think the failure was due to not getting enough rest nor eating nearly enough over the weekend. Such happens when you're all happy with your new GF and such. Bah. I guess I'll follow the rules and repeat last week's #'s again this week, and hopefully nail it next monday for 5x300.

BENCH:

5x145
5x170
5x190
5x215
5x240

BOR:

5x145
5x170
5x190
5x215
5x240

Meh, failure sucks.

Tuesday 3/11

Jujitsu at the hombu Dojo.

1.5 hours. Misc calisthenics and stretching, Atemi Waza, and freeform self defense "sparring". The last round of defending I did during self defense nearly killed me.

Have a nice abrasion under my left eye for my new company photo ID picture today.

Thursday 3/13

Jujitsu at the hombu Dojo.

1.5 hours. ~30 minutes Warm up and calisthenics, ~30 minutes Nage Waza and Jujitsu, ~30 minutes throwing Randori.

Ouch.

Took my hardest ogoshi tonight, took a second or two to get up from that during randori.

And there's nothing like getting tooled by a guy over 15 years older than you who recently separated a shoulder...
