Thank you - at this point it is more of a final push than anything. I'd like to lose 20-25 but i am not a complete lardass like i was when I started. At 5'10 210, I am certainly overweight but I carry it well and don't look terrible. Mainly I just want to finish what I started and lose bodyfat so I can compete in a better weight class for BJJ...

I train in Cleveland, specifically Northfield, which is SE of the city. I get my ass kicked all over the place but it is a lot of fun and I am progressing ok..

Are you from the Cleveland area?

Fri 7-18

730: one piece wheat bread w/ peanut butter, glass o' milk

8am:
Run
1mile warmup
then
Run 400m as fast as I can, followed by 2 min walk
do this for 3 miles total distance (4 miles total run)

that was kind of fun, I have to say.

9:45:
bought breakfast - got a egg white, tomato and cheese wrap from a 'health food' store. i dont know if it is that great but it has to be better than a) not eating or b) getting breakfast from a gas station

1pm: forgot to pack food today, (see breakfast), so I am going to grab a soup and sandwich from the overpriced fancy pants joint under my office

Im having a lot of trouble concentrating at work today, reading a lot of the sherdog and deadspin. Need to get down to bidness at some point

530pm: whole wheat bagel w/american cheese, teriaki chicken fingers (whoops)

730: Gi training:

Gi class was fucking awesome tonight. I dont know if its considered bad form to brag in your own log like it is in the regular forums, but man, shit was clicking for whatever reason. we drilled variations of the windmill sweep including one from a half butterfly and one from basically baiting the person into trying to pass your guard.

During open rolling, I rolled with the same guy for 2 five minute rounds. i was able to hit one of the sweeps we learned in class today smoothly and i could hear people joking that 'someone was paying attention today...'

i ended up subbing him 3 times to his 1. once was by omoplata, out of a failed armbar which i have never landed in live sparring before so that felt great.

normally we are about even, so i am sure he will return the favor and totally dominate me sometme in the future, but i think i really needed that tonight because i normally just get stomped by everyone

later i rolled with one of the 3 purples who comes, and he schooled me even though he was only working gogoplata and told me so, i still couldnt stop it... haha.

edit: also got a decent black eye going from one of those gogos - i was fighting ok so he turned it into an armbar and i took a heel right in the eye. sonofabitch...
