Monday 7/14

8am: whole wheat bagel with raspberry jam

8:30 Run LDS 3 miles, walk half mile, run half mile as fast as I can, 4 miles total

1pm: Ceasar Salad and Mac and Cheese

6:30 pm: Pizza (whoops)

7:30: gi training: didn't go tonight because we got the dog fixed today and my wife was 'hinting' that I should be home to help her take care of it. I'm not sure why that's a two person job, but the dog was really pathetic and happy to see me and it made the boss happy. Not a big deal, I should be able to go on Weds and Friday

9: 1;/2 hershey bar

good looking dog - I like amstaffs a lot. My dog is a crappy running partner. She is fast as hell but not much stamina and short legs

Weds 7-16

didn't do my scheduled cardio this morning because I overslept. I feel a little guilty but I have really been dragging the last couple days and maybe getting a solid 10 hours will get me out of that funk. I will just have to go extra hard at BJJ tonight. Sore legs today even though yesterday was not real heavy i guess the supersets of squats and deadlifts hit me pretty well

9am: 3 scrambled eggs, whole grain bagel

noon: spinach salad, pb j

3pm: 1 cup cottage cheese, wheat thins

6pm: 1/2 quiznos sub -- according to their website only like 410 calories

730: Gi Training: went well, practiced 5 min guard passes, 5 min sweeps and 5 min subs (10 min total for each because we were w/ a partner) Live rolling went alright. I get frustrated because most of the whitebelts I can achieve a dominant position and keep it but I am not very good at submissions. There are 2 whites, though, who have to be getting close to blue (our school does not use stripes) and they still beat me pretty solidly. My defense is absolutely improving. Rolled with a blue tonight and I know, I know he wasnt going all out or anything, but I was able to keep from getting tapped in a 5 minute round. That was a really solid accomplishment.

915: 3 egg whites and a glass of milk

Good luck with your weight loss goals. Where do you train BJJ at?
