Brian80's log, now a good source of vitamin Death!

I'm starting this log to keep a record of my workouts, instead of having to look through 10 different notebooks to find what I'm looking for. A bit about myself:

Height: 6'1"
Weight: ~175
Age: 17

Main goal: To prepare myself to compete as an amateur mixed martial artist.

My training style is an amalgamation of several different schools of thought, primarily influenced by Ross.

I am in an in-between period on my schedule, as I rehab an injured shoulder.

Isshinryu classes are M-W-F, and other skill training occurs every day except Sunday.

pretty skinny for your height. What weight do you plan on fighting at?

Probably around 180. I have never been bothered nor hampered by my relatively light weight, as I prefer to fight very actively.

I will move to a weight-gain period when my work capacity is significantly increased. Last time I attempted to gain weight w/o the proper work capacity and sustained several overuse injuries.

I've been training formally in isshinryu karate for about 2.5 years, and train some grappling at the same studio. In addition, I train many other styles on my own; it may not be optimal, but it's the best I've got.

Would you like to see a detailed or simple training schedule?

I can tell youve read II by looking at your routine. Post some of the exercises you'll be doing too.

Dont worry about the weight, its nice to have a reach advantage

The exercises I am working on progressing right now are:

Core: Flags, Side bends, OH Lateral core statics w/bands, hanging situps, band rotations
Strength: Zercher deadlift + Zercher squat, Barbell punch press, Clapping pullups
Grip: Pinch deadlift (with pinch grip block), bending, wrist pronation/supination, Thick handle deadlift, thick wrist roller
For neck work I use a neck harness front and back, Isometrics for lateral movement, and bands for static strength.

Also, +1 for extra reach! I also have long arms for my height.

Nice! Cant really fault your routine. What is a punch press?

What is Isshin Ryu as well, never heard of it.
