Taught class again, mats were jam packed so did tabata squats, push ups, sit ups and burpees.
Covered some half guard stuff, ripped off
Aesopians half guard kimura, did an armdrag on the near side arm if they sat their weight back and did try to establish a cross face and a
deep half guard sweep
Did 2x5minute rounds of half guard specific work, resetting back to half guard after a sweep or pass, one round on top one on bottom.
Struggled toget the details of the sweep across, it's one I've been using a lot recently and hit it in both the competitions I have done recently. I would not have said by the end of the class there was any one the was getting it really well. First time since I have been covering classes I feel I have done a really poor job.
In terms of rolling of the half guard work I went with Lee, we switched which legs the half guard was on on every time we reset. I swept him every time I had half guard on his right leg and he passed every time I had it on his left leg, shows another area that needs work

Rolled with Adam, a lightweight blue belt, for the first time in ages as he's not been training. He still has a really good de la riva/sitting/spider guard game though. I was able to pass and submit him a couple of times but I wasn't happy considering the size difference and his time off.
