Before the Great Collapse
This will be my training log as I attempt to get in shape. Squat rack is in route, ashould arrive next week somewhere. Until then will be some BW stuff along with some light equipment, ie adjustable oly dumbells, med ball, slosh pipe and chin bar and whatever to help get my body ready and hopefully prevent crippling DOMS.
Coming back from series of injuries and soul crushing defeats. Plus my head was all fucked up for a few months. Priorities were changed for a while. Mostly good shit, but some bad. Not really going for huge lifts but looking to get stronger and in shape.
That is all for now. Hope I keep this thing current.
As to stats and a bit more specifics...
6'2"
215 lbs
32 yrs old.
Goals: Strength. Specific goal? Squat 2 times weight, bench weight, OHP 185, DL 2 times weight. Those are relatively near/short/medium term goals, I guess, but I'm really not looking for massive lifts, at least not right now. Things may change in the future.
Modality: A/B split. 5x5. 3 days a week. Put it together myself, basic stuff, might be close or exactly follow another program. Fuck it.
Workout A:
Squat
OHP
DL
Power Cleans
Workout B:
Squat
Bench
Barbell Rows
Lunges
Off days will be conditioning type stuff. Swings, running, dumbbell snatches, etc. And with a focus on Pull ups and Chins. I like doing them.
In addition to a swuat rack and Oly bar I have a chinning bar, adj. Oly dumbbell handles, 25 lb med ball, 3" 8-foot slosh pipe. This stuff will be used on off days mostly.
And, well, I guess that's about it.

Yeah, I was getting to that.
I wonder if cleans and Rows are redundant and/or too much? Most programs seem to have one or the other.... But I like the idea of both. Maybe I'll run with it as long as I can? Plus, I couldn't think of a 4th excercise for Workout B. I coulda just kept three... but what fun is that?
I'll be starting out light. Mostly because I'm a pussy. With a smashed body. Well, not smashed but fairly wounded.

BW Squats - 5x20
Push ups - 4 x 10
BW Rows - 3 x12
Chins - 4 x 5

BW Squats - 5 x 25
BW Rows - 5 x 12
Pull ups - 5, 5, 4, 2
Circuit of:
10 swings (using ~25# med ball in b-ball net; like a kettle kind of)
20 jumping jacks
10 med ball slams (using above implement)
sprint across yard and back
repeated 5 times.
Feeling OK, little sore from yesterday... mild.
Personal Reminder: Tomorrow, dbell snatches, OHP and maybe squat thrusters?

BW Squats 5 x 30
D-bell snatch - 40 lb, 5 x 10
d-bell OHP 25 lbs 5 x 8
Pushups 15, 10, 15, 10, 12
Short run/walk. Ran as far as I could, walked for a bit, ran again, etc. Approx. 2 miles. (I think the HS track is .5 miles, not positive though. Pretty damn big.)

BW Squats - 5 x 40
BW Rows - 5 x 10
Lunges (holding 20 lb plate) 5L, 5R x 5 (total of 25 each leg)
Chins 5, 4, 3, 3, 2
50 burpees. Took fucking FOREVER. Need to fix this. Nearly died about a dozen times.
Was gonna do some slosh pipe stuff but burpees ended me. Fucking christ, still fucked up.
Tomorrow gonna add some weight for squats via either chalice squats or just throw a 35 lb plate in my backpack.
Hopefully rack and flat bench arrive soon... and someone puts a deal on Oly bar and plates on local Craigslist so I can bust some stuff out.
