I knew it would fix itself and I'd have a dozen duplicates on my page, I just didn't care. Out of frustration I hit that reply button over and over and over.

And thanks, easternbloc, BUT...

(stay tuned)

After this mornings crap-fest I decided to come inside and eat some food and watch some Smallville. After a couple episodes and some foam rolling I decided I wasn't done for the day. Hence:

2" Axle deadlifts, no straps, with shoes on. I usually take them off to get lower. Forget that noise. I just wanted to do some WORK. I HATE failing or not performing well.

The bar I'm using might be 33 pounds, but I'm gonna call it 25 for maths' sake and bc it's better to aim high.

115*8
205*8
295*5
385*5
475*3
475*2
475*1
*add belt*
505*1
505*1
505*2
505*1
505*1

Axle clean and press - First day actualy practicing the. The only other time I'd ever done this was in that comp a few months back. It took some getting used to, but I can see having a MASSIVE axle C&P with some practice.

115*3
205*1
205*1
205*1
255*1
255*1 - 15 lb PR
275*1 - 35 lb PR
295*1 - 55 lb PR
325*1 - clean only, shoulders and legs and back - hell, everything - was fried by this point. It will absolutely NOT be an issue when I'm fresh/have some more practice. 85 lb clean PR.

I was rushed for time, thirsty, and very hungry by this point. It's safe to say that these felt really natural and that I'm looking forward to the next round. I want something over 350.

If anyone wants a video, I'll put one up. Otherwise I'll wait until I'm a little better at them...

Holy crap, I cannot imagine how you could even grip the axle for that.

I liked C+J an axle better than a barbell too, although I've only done it once or twice. Awesome job man.

Jeez, I can't believe I forgot to say - must be one of those "I'm thinking it so everyone must know what I'm referring to" things.

They were continentals, Kurt. And kind of fun, honestly. Have you practiced them at all?

XTrainer - if you're referring to the cleans, it's easy when you continental - the grip is never an issue.

Donut - thanks man! Btw I saw that insane squat volume-superset you did. It almost made me throw up in MY mouth a little. Manly shit.

Fenn - why only a few times? Do you not have access to one?

In that I'll be able to move more weight with axle, I like it better than bb. But with bb there's that whole element of a time-honored tradition, and needing to fine tune and finesse the movement.

A little bit, but never enough to get comfortable with them. It's something that's on my list.

P.S.

It would make for a long day of flying, but it is cheap.
