nice lifting bro. I found heavy hypers went a long way to my deadlifts progress...it was my primary assistance exercise for deadlifts for a couple years.
i wish i had half your squatting/ohping prowess...lol

Thanks man, that means a ton coming from you. I've also felt the heavy hypers helping my deadlift. I'm going to start reverse-hypers and see how they do.

Do you think your bench strength carries over to your overhead strength? Reason I ask is because my overhead has been regressing over the past few months and the only reason I can think of is because that was about the time I put bench way on the back burner.
If I remember correctly, I jerked 315 right around the same time I paused a 415 bench, but after this period of little bench work, 285-290 overhead has been feeling tough for me.
Just curious on what your thoughts are, as I'm inclined to start bringing my bench back up, even if I'm not concerned with the bench number, itself.

I am not the brightest guy but I never understood religion even on a very simple level. I am an atheist and the name is only a small humorous poke at religion.
Fatty I def think there's a link. My bench is in the shitter right now and so is my ohp. There's no fast and hard rule but from my own experience it seems like there's definitely some correlation.
Fatty how are your other olympic lifts? Jerk seems like a more explosive lift and pressing strength has less general impact on it...or do you mean more of a push jerk?

K - I definitely think they're related. But it's reciprocal because when I started doing PP and Jerks, my bench went up also. So I think the carryover is a two-way street. I can use more examples if you like, but I've got to get to work.

I agree. You'll see more correlations between strict PP and bench. Careful if you include #s for PP that have leg drive. Since with the leg drive, you get more weight, those are hard to compare.
I remember in the winter, I was doing that "james lift" for the odd lifts competition. I could barely strict press 70 over my head but I made it. Then I started focusing on PLing and started putting in dedicated bench workouts in my routine. Now I can do 70 for reps. So, they are related.
