Yeah Ascendant, hang in there. You are doing a great job caring about and caring for your father and family so try to leave a little time and energy to care for yourself. If you really want to be there for them you have to take care of yourself first. It is easy to forget that even though you are strong, sometimes you need a little support too.

So take care of yourself, we are pulling for you.

This is a solid group of guys. I know you're right about taking care of myself, its hard though when you can't get to sleep till 4 am cause you're mind won't shut off and old aches and pains seem to come back from the stress.

Anyway, I managed to hit legs today. Performance was decent.

5/16/08

BB squats

Bar*12
135*5
225*5
315*5
405*3
500*2

545*0 Wasn't there mentally, lost it forward.

565*1 Came back angry and found a spotter. I got it but it was ugly, and I'm starting to notice a penchant for rolling onto my toes; if my back wasn't so strong I would've lost that rep. I'm going to investigate and try to fix it this week.

500*3 Kind of fixed it. Rep 1 was ok, rep 2 was not, rep 3 combined parts of each for the best looking (albeit least energy) rep.

405*8 Grueling mother fucker. Fuck you 405.

Contrast shower and 1000 kcal shake.

Back to hosp.

Managed to get in 2 hrs bjj tonight before hitting the hospital again. Home now but I'm wiped. I may try to hit legs tomorrow. Other than that it's been a light week, wo -wise.
Not silly at all, I do the same thing. Not that my opinion counts for squat in this beastly log.

Keep it up, a bunch of us look to be strong like you someday.

If you don't mind me saying so, don't get mad lifting, you're gonna hurt yourself and long-term you don't want that. You've given me some encouraging comments in my log; so try to let go of some of that anger.

This, from a nutjob who has to take meds for his temper. I wish you knew the irony of me counseling moderation.

I wish I knew something clever or witty or wise to say, but I don't, so best wishes.

I couldn't disagree more. My best lifting comes when I'm angry. Anger is a gift... or at least it can be.

By the way Ascendant, that 18" DL at Record Breakers was w/ an Okie DL bar, so you actually have used one. You just didn't know it at the time.

Don't listen to him.

You want this, don't you? The hate is swelling in you now. Take your Jedi weapon. Use it. I am unarmed. Strike me down with it. Give in to your anger.
