Ha! That made me laugh.

Did you listen at 0:08? If not go do it, it's funny as hell.

Did the guy fart as he walked in front of the camera?

No, man, she was just being defensive. Like, "Rude. Don't walk in front of the camera when I'm filming my man." It cracked me up, she was embarrassed. Again.

Stupid decision to go to the gym at 10 and expect to do great at squats.

Bar*10
Bar*10
135*8
225*5
315*5
(add box - no belt)
405*3
(add belt)
495*3
585*2
705*....not really, but really, really close

Legs had it pretty easy, but I swear on my life I had picked the single WORST spotter in the gym. Can one of you PLEASE come spot next time? I need some help keeping my chest up, but before I descended I knew I wasn't in a great position because the spotter was completely crowding me off the box. So, not tonight, anyway.

It took a TON out of me to come up with that lift, so...

600*0 I was out of gas, period.

Took out the box, felt the not-so-great tightness in my upper back and decided that it was a good idea to hit atg pause squats. Cognizant of the comments last time, I made sure these were true atg's. Ass was touching my calves for each and every rep, with at least a 2 second pause.

ATG pause squats

315*5
365*5
405*3

Done.

Ice pack.

Damn dude, you train like an animal...

And good God, that upcoming comp looks BRUTAL. There's like *counts* 3 different pulling events in a row.

Thanks guys: yeah those medleys are going to beat me up!

I feel like I could've had that if I'd done it earlier in the day and/or had a decent spotter. I guess we'll see next week!

BTNJ

135*15
225*5

Split Jerks
135*3
225*3

Log press (Out of the racks, no clean)
163*5
213*5
253*3
273*3
253*3

Log clean and press
253*5
253*6

(Watched my wo partner Mark do single arm BB jerks. Felt pwnd. He worked up to 175 for a double.)

Rack deadlifts (Horrible start position, right at 17", which is on the point of the knee. In other words, if you can break the knee, you can probably push the hips through and get the lift.

Bar*6
225*5
405*4
585*3
765*1 (I think a new max from this height)
815*0 - Ok here's the deal. By this time I was damp with sweat, and I broke the bar off FAST (which is my weakest point) but it ended up sicking TOTALLY on the skin on my thigh about 2 inches up from my knee. Like, it just stopped. There was NO WAY I would've missed that if I'd have baby powder or something. I fact, I think I've got 855 at this point, but I can't be sure.

So anyway, fail. But I know it's mine. I'm making good gains on these.

Continued with 500 for 11, reset each rep. These were actually pretty easy, and I used good hip pop and had good setup.

BB shrugs supersetted with db shrugs that come out AND up, these are a killer, esp. since you have to hold them at the top for a 2 count.

405*15 ---> 40# db for 12
405*15 ---> 40# db for 12

So only 815??

Damn impressive man, i really wish i had a power rack to work with when i read shit like this, a barbell that could hold 800 would be nice too, as would the strength to lift it
