I'm doing that comp for sure, it was probably the most fun one I did last year. Lusst, it has nothing to do with crossfit shit, it's all strongman. Chase, where do you live? Are you close enough to do it? There were some BEASTLY under 200 guys last year!

What is your axle deadlift PR compared to your olympic barbell deadlift?

I've only done axle dl once, and it was at that comp. I nearly had a 553 locked out but my grip gave. At the time I was pulling right around 600.

I think the Mt. Rainier axle starts a little higher than a regular barbell. Maybe 14 or 15 inches? You should definitely do that comp. We could do some training together (you could come use the equipment with Mark and I) and then we could call go up together.

I'd like that.

PM your number and we'll arrange a time to meet up. I'm getting over a cold so I'll resume training on Wednesday.

Every Sunday we do event training, what's your schedule look like this Sunday from 11-3 or so?

Maybe I should get dubs first, though. Man I need some street cred!

You can during some events, but usually you'll want to be able to hear the ref.

First day "back" after being sick since last Wednesday

4/1/08 Tuesday

Cardio
Ran 1 mile, decreased time from 16 minutes to 11 minutes, no walking. Big PR.

Finished with 9 minutes walking. 20 minutes total.

Biceps
DB curls
30*5
50*5
70*5
70*5
70*5
50*8
50*8

Cable reverse curls
Whatever*7
Whatever*7
Whatever*7

Single arm DB preacher curls
30*5
40*5
40*5

Single arm cable curls
Whatever*7
Whatever*7
Whatever*7

I hadn't done biceps in forever, and I didn't want to do anything that compromised legs or chest, so I thought I'd hit em hard. Looking back that seems like a lot of volume, but I guess that's what I'm getting used to and it felt weird to not do more work.

Finished with decline crunches with a 40 lb dumbbell, 3 sets of 12.

I'm proud of my running. Feeling a lot better, and plan on doing legs tomorrow. I'm going to *try* to not go all out and make this cold hang around longer.
