Naw, I'm usually a few inches deeper. My back was too fried to keep me more erect than that, so I had to sacrifice somewhere. The 315*10 were extremely deep, the 365 less so, and the 405 'only' parallel.

Volume isn't something I'm used to, and I literally can't believe how sore I am today. And we all know it's only going to get worse.

Thanks Bort and TG!

Crazy squat volume. I'd need a wheelchair.

I'd just like to point out that you used "a few inches deeper" and "erect" in neighboring sentences. That really threw me off. I think that I had to read that entry 2-3 times to actually read what you were saying.

Oh yeah, nice lifting. You've got to get those elbows down on your squats, mainly on the ascent. Sit back a little more and keep your chest up (it's ok you were tired). Nice weight, you beast. Try descending a little slower, keeping tighter through the hips. That will keep the tension at the bottom, letting you explode up. Do you ever try looking up when you squat, instead of forward?

Thursday 3-20-08

EDIT: Earlier in the day (~2 pm)

Triceps pullovers
5=25*7
50*7
70*7
70*7
70*7

Triceps cable pressdowns

Whatever*7
Whatever*7
Stack*15
Stack*15

...tan.

Later that night (~10ish)

Run 1 mile (Surprisingly easy for a guy my size who hasn't run in 5 years...!)

Core/abs: 20 minutes

Single arm BB snatches - These were going really well tonight, despite it being 11 pm, my legs being shaky-sore, and having just run a mile for [essentially] the first time.

95*5 Right arm - Finish with 1 arm overhead squat
95*5 Left arm - Finish with 1 arm overhead squat

115*3 Right arm - Finish with 1 arm overhead squat
115*3 Left arm- Finish with 1 arm overhead squat

Tweaked something in my left biceps/shoulder are on the overhead squat. It affected me the rest of the night.

135*2 Right arm - Finish with 1 arm overhead squat
135*2 Left arm - Finish with 1 arm overhead squat

145*1 Right arm
145*1 Left arm

155*1 Right arm
155*0 Left arm
155*0 Right arm

Done.

Hey Jen, you're right. When I'm more erect I can definitely get a few inches deeper.
Quit selectively reading.
Uhh....sshhhhhhhhhh!

I found that i can descend slower with the lighter weight, but I get more stretch reflex out of the squat if I drop a little faster with the heavier stuff.

You know, I used to look up when I squatted, but I haven't for a while. I'll try that again, as soon as I can heal.
