I realized today that all that no-carb hate is pretty much bullshit. My body has made fat its primary energy source, and I feel fine. That said, I have noticed that I seem more calm. Usually, I'm pretty much always moving. Since the start of this diet, though, people have noticed that I seem less "jumpy." Can't say I dislike not having the urge to move around 24/7. Aaaaaand I'm pretty sure no-carb diets could "cure" ADHD.
LIFTED TODAY, WOOO!!!
Was gonna do DLs Snatches and aux leg lifts (really just calf raises) but we got to the weight room late and I was really just feelin the DL's, sooooo no oly lifts today.
Deadlifts
3x225 lbs
3x295
1x345 (Old PR)
1x365 (NEW PR, VIDEO BELOW)
Calf Raises
10x135 lbs
10x135
10x135 (forced perfect form, about 120 degrees of motion, from heels 1.5 inches below toes to nearly tip-toe)
At this point, the period was coming to an end and there wasn't enough time to rack all the weight for snatches, so, I figured if anything would help me with starting MMA training next week, it would probably be wrist curls.
Wrist Curls
10x35 lbs DBs (each hand)
10x35
10x35 (forced perfect form, from arms perpendicular to the floor to the max I felt I could roll them upwards without bending my elbow)
Also, played basketball today for about 45 minutes. I wasn't able to dominate as hard as I'd like to, but I still scored most of my teams points (8 of 14 by 1's and 2's the first game). I don't think my cardio has been effected too badly.
I'm certain at this point that all the hate posts on the v-diet were unwarranted. Call it a marketing scheme, call it a "starvation diet", whatever. I'm taking in nearly 2x my BW in grams of protein each day, and it's obviously preventing any serious muscle catabolism. I actually plan on making strength gains throughout this diet. Also, my cardio isn't 100%, but it's still at a level I can function at. Oh and the little shoutout at the end of the vid is for those who still say I'm not the guy from the original video and that I can't put up this kind of weight. Cheers.

What is the point of keeping a log here if you got a lot on BB.com where your goals are more in sync with the site?
I know you may feel like you had a tough upbringing but shit does get a lot worse than anything you described. I think at 17 you feel like you know everything but that's okay because you got the rest of your life to figure things out. As my professor once said....the smartest person in the world is a HS graduate and the dumbest person in the world is college graduate....
dont take a lot of what these guys say personally...good luck and train hard. Also with your extreme diet perhaps you may want to bump up your fish oil intake to double. I remember reading a while back that fish oil is very effective at preserving muscle loss during diets and starvation diets so you may get the results you see short term.
good luck with your goals and dreams.
