I think you need to really think about what your goals are. I mean you said its hard NOT to do this type of training, if you wanna be a fighter hypertrophy should be a word that makes you vomit. Its fucking hard enough getting in good cardio shape and muscle endurance its 10 times as hard if you have alot of useless muscle on you gotten from doing bodybuilding isolation.

I think this log is definately improving though and I hope you get your situation worked out to where you can do some MMA training. Good job!
HST is not about bodybuilding isolation. that's an uneducated statement. I'm not advocating HST as this kid's best option. but he does need to get on a program, set some goals, and roll. assuming he's lifting consistently and using compound lifts, muscle mass is going to be gained regardless of program. he's 17 years old and clearly would be able to make linear progression.

Missed training yesterday cause I got home and it was dark as fuck (with mosquitos). :/ was gonna do my new BW/explosivity and conditioning workout that looks pretty solid.

And yeah, my goal is to be a fighter. BUT I really like looking good. And I can't even train OR lift consistently yet, soooo we'll see. I might start lifting at my friends house (the one I got on Rippetoe's) but he doesn't have enough weight to do adequate squat/DL poundage for my level, or a power rack. Soooo I'm gonna have to wait a little for him to get up there (he's close on the deadlifts) and maybe he'll invest in one.

I'm just sad I missed that workout yesterday. It probably would have left me in tears (of joy).

Your friend is clearly useless. Kill him and use his bones to make a power rack. Use his skull for more weight.

Ehh, if getting him to just buy more weight (like he said he's already going to) and a power rack off of craigslist fails, I'll probably try that.

I know I'm fuckin up. I can't really train on weekends. Well, I'm gonna make some purely BW-strength routines so I'll be able to train whenever (Kadour Ziani style ). I've been reading about the strength/conditioning of olympic gymnasts, it's pretty impressive stuff.
