Forgot to mention hand gripping. Did 3 sets of 8 last night, to get used to them. I bought a pair of cheap (thick) wooden grippers and brought one of them to work, thinking I was still really weak like when I tried some plastic ones a few months back. My right hand can close it without too much of a problem, and my left is a little weaker but not far behind. I guess I should buy some ****l ones in the next month or so.
Heh, yeah I know I'm on the light side, but I figure if I keep going at this rate, I'll get somewhere decent, ya? I get sick on and off, so I do my best to keep a balance going on when I have a relapse, so that I don't loose too much traction.
I wish I had started this stuff like ten years ago, but better now than later. I'll do what I can and just keep pushing my boundaries

.
The swim pretty much hit the spot for my arms last night, so I'm looking forward to MT training tonight. Haven't been at the gym in over a week, so I'm salivating for whatever my coach will throw at me.
For long-term goals, I'd like to participate in MT on an amateur level, but I don't think I'll go beyond that. Not ruling anything out, of course, but I'm looking at this as pretty high up--but not number one--on my list of important things to do continuously. Although it already dethroned many of my hobbies, haha...
Short-term:
--Further developing my skills for MT.
--I'd like to continue a fast pace with weights throughout the rest of the year, especially the upper body. I'm gonna see how long it'll take to get to 60 for db push press, for instance.
--10 chinups. I should invest in a pull-up bar that I can hang in a doorway, so I can start doing some every morning. Preferably before mid-December. And then move on to pull-ups...
--Getting better at hauling heavy stuff when woodbusting. That'll come naturally and will be a continuous goal.
--Flipping the tire we have at our gym. Um, I should probably find out how much it weighs.
--Maybe come February start pushing my (small) car as a Density Training workout. I've been able to budge it before I've even started doing anything (when it was stuck in snow last year). I think it'd be a great workout...Oh who am I kidding? I'll probably will start attempting in December. I had to tell myself not to try several times last night, but it was really tempting with the lack of snow and feeling pretty good...
I tend to not put a time-limit on my goals. I'm an impatient kind of person when it comes to myself, so I'll go as far as I can without overdoing it (and then I double check to make sure, haha). Which means I have to listen to my body very carefully...but I'm pretty proficient at, so I don't think I'll get myself into too much trouble. Yet.
