I'm not a big fan of any of the pit workouts or any of that, I prefer more variety in my workouts. Greats lifts bro, you are doing a great job.

Thanks, that means a lot, especially when I'm in a bit of a rut

Yeah, and doing the PIT workout reminded me why that DVD has sat on my shelf for so long, collecting dust. Don't get me wrong, it has a decent degree of difficulty (there are several hundred squats and the one legged jump roping was totally new to me), but man, is it BORING! Still, I feel like I'm competing with all the Hackleman trainees, so I couldn't just stop

135x1
135x1
95x5
95x5 (Extra-wide grip)
95x7

90x1
Each arm: 85x1(30sec rest)+80x2(30sec rest)+75x3(30 sec rest)...down to 65x5.

4x3 135

Finisher: 95lb push-press for reps.

Well, I got the perfect conditioning workout that isn't boring and will get you out of a rut:

Murph Challenge?

Just playing man, I know you got alot of other stuff to work.

How wide of a grip are you going on the SOHP? That was something that kept me from attaining higher numbers. Experiment with grip, as almost everyone has a different optimal grip for SOHP.

SO TRUE! I burn myself out every time trying to get into a groove (right stance, right grip width, etc.) and pretty soon I'm missing numbers I could have easily hit because my form was off.

Your Chins > My Chins

I hate your soul.

Just kidding. Nice job, mang!

My pulling muscles (much) > My pushing muscles.

Go figure.

Today

Squats-Very conservative today. I'm trying to get into a regular set/rep scheme, so I made sure I could nail every set.

ATG Squats
5x135
1x185
3x225
3x235
3x235-Last one was not quite ATG. I probably could have gotten it but without a spotter, I decided not to risk it.

Quarter Squats
Singles and doubles at 315. Actually, these were closer to half squats.

Dumbbell Step-Ups (Two 80lb dumbbells)
3x5 each leg

Complex (2 50lb dumbbells): ~15 Step OH carry+16 DB Lunges+20 BW squats X3

Zercher Squats: A bunch of 135s to finish.

I didn't do much of a jog like I usually do after squats. Hopefully, I won't regret that tomorrow.

Short on time today, but got a PR.

(Warm-up)
Pause Rep Bench Press
205x1 PR
195x1 X5

Bench Press (no pause)
185x2 X5

Close grip bench: 135x12

Quick set of CHINS.

EDIT: After getting home from the beach, I did some burpees and a heavy core workout.
