I did forget to mention one thing about helping my wife workout. There was some asshole there that had some serious BO. I mean I could smell him from fifteen feet away...

Good moment in the gym locker last night: I saw a guy sitting on a bench by his locker with his boxers hiked up and he was popping his leg zits...

General Notes: My wife and I had to switch our program days from Friday/Sunday/Tuesday to Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday. So, we had a five day break from heavy lifting. I had planned to get to the gym last night to do general conditioning and intro to squat work but my wife and I had a date so it didn't happen. We went today instead.
Overall the workout was pretty good. She seemed to have pretty good squat form. It came a lot easier to her than it ever has for me.
After doing box squats I realized those are what I should have started with when I first started lifting. I never once rounded my back.

Warmup: fivel minutes of cardio followed by high knees, walking lunges, high kicks, lunge to high knees, butt kicks, and running carioca.

Pull-Ups w/ Average Band
--------------------------------
Me --> 5x5
Wife --> She couldn't do one and the strong band was too easy so she did what she could.

Box Squat
-------------
We both did a series of BW squatting just so we could both get the feel for them.

Conditioning Work
----------------------
I wanted us to both do the following at least three times:
5 Turkish Get Ups (each arm)
5 Dumbbell Snatches (each arm)
10 Dumbbell Swings

Teaching my wife the Dumbbell Snatch form almost led to a divorce for some reason. She got so frustrated and angry that I thought I was going to have to move out. However, we both regrouped and she got it down.

We both did the above circuit once. She did it with 10 lbs (she later said it was too light) and I did it with 35 lbs. Between teaching her the form and the circuit I was fried. She was sweating pretty hard too so we stopped.

My wife did make a great comment after doing the above circuit. She said after doing that she no longer liked Yoga and sitting on a cardio machine was just boring. I thought that was pretty great.

Once she got the form down on the TGU's and the Dumbbell Snatches she just loved them. I was pretty jealous of her hip stance. A woman's hips seem a lot more suited to squatting than mine. Maybe some guys don't have my flexibility issues. It was just cool to watch her get in the squat position and snatch the weight up.
