10th planets weak ass Log!

So I Finally decided to make a log!

Stats

Age:19
Weight: 165
Goal weight: 175
Occupation: student

Bench 1rm 90kg's Goal: 120 kg's
Squat 1rm 90 kg's Goal: 150 kg's
Deadlift 1rm 120kg's Goal: 180 kg's
SOHP 1rm 50kg's Goal: 80 kg's

I am not currently on any programme as I knocked lifting on the head 1.5 weeks out from my fight last saturday. Now I have that out of the way i am looking to get stronger!

So my maxes suck. In class, grappling and wrestling especially I am tired of getting over powered! I am tired of being told that my technique is 'superb' but still get tapped and out muscled! So this log is for motivation and advice on helping me get stronger!

I am currently running 5/3/1 and liking it so far.

ADVICE IS MORE THAN WELCOME!

1st october 2009

Like I said I'm not currently on a programme whilst I decide what i should do next so i just went to the gym and did what i felt like! I went very light today to focus on form and ease myself back into lifting

Weight x reps x sets

SOHP 40x5x5

Deadlift 80x5x4

Squat 50x8x3

Push press 40x10x3

Power shrugs 90x8x3

Ok so I've done some reading and I'm going to go with 5 3 1.

4x a week. I'm going to start tomorrow with bench day. I'm not sure what to add in for accessory exercises so advice is welcome, thanks.

Welcome to the logs

as far as assistance, I tend to use an assistance lift that addresses my weak point of the lift.

I'm pretty sure Eddie Bravo said that he hates conditioning and weight training in his RG book.

2nd october 2009

FIRST SESSION OF 5 3 1

Cycle 1 week 1!

Bench - I used 90kg's as my 1RM, as i haven't lifted in a while. so my 90% training max was 81 KG's

Bench
52.5 x 5
60 x 5
68 x 7
Assistance
Bench

45 x 10 x 5
BOR's

50 x 10
55 x 8
60 x 6
65 x 5

Hanging leg raises (1st time doing these, not sure if they were anygood, quite a bit of swaying)
BW x 10 x 3

I followed the assistance from Boring but big. theres defo lots of volume this way! Is there possibly too much volume? It's just that 8 sets of benching seems a lot?
