If you have the budget, and Aston Martin DB9 is leagues above both of those. Not as expensive as the Vanquish and pretty much as good in every department.
What you see as generic looking, I see as classic. The 911 has looked pretty much the same for decades and I love it.

I have a WS6 Convertible and it is a blast to drive. Although, these days mine is more of a garaged collectible that gets taken out on weekends.

The STi, WS6, and new Challenger R/T are cars I would really like to own in the near future, although I will eventually have to decide on only one. Seeing as I live in Canada and have to deal with snow during winter, the STi is a heavy favourite. I've been trying really hard to rationalize the purchase of a RWD V8, storing it in the winter, and taking public transit more often, but I'll really have to wait and see what kind of job I can land after graduation.

Those look like good choices. I just hate BMW's for some reason. I know that is similar performance/style at a slightly cheaper price than the 911 turbo, but I don't think I could drive one. They are just so common around here; I'm sick of them.
