4. Convertible: M6 Convertible - what can I say, I love Bimmers!

5. Track car: Porsche GT3. Just love it. Always have.

I love cars but there are too many to choose just one! I would love a ferrari too.

honorable mention: ferrari enzo

very nice picks. that sums it up for me too.

M6 thought i would go with M3.

thanks.

You mean the m3 instead of the m5? or as a convertible an m3?

I almost went with an m3 instead of the m5, but I just thought as a "daily driver" a bigger car would be nice.

Some good shouts here.

Bentley Continental GT is getting some shouts here in the luxury section. Bently do much better cars than that I think. I was gonna go for the Bentley Azure open top for the convertible, but they are just so big and cumbersome, even as a luxury car it would be like taking a small house onto the road. The continental GT is meant to be a compromise, Ive never liked it though, its not just the styling which I think is ugly, it lacks any class or presence. Looks like a Chrysler Spitfire and having seen one or two of them around, it just doesnt really fit into any genre. Not good enough to be truly luxurious, not sporty enough to be a sports car.

Good shout on whoever said the F40LM as the racer, although good luck trying to push the limits in it!!

No shouts for the original McLaren F1?? Think someone may have mentioned it, the reason I didnt bother with it is that you apparently need to be a very talented professional racing driver to get the best from it, for mere mortals its just a terrifying experience!!

ahheadlock, do you like the look of that Zonda? Ive never taken to it at all, Im sure they have an immense presence and performance, something just looks so 80's about it though, its not really cool as much as just shocking!!

I've been casually looking for my next car. I haven't thought much about "dream cars," but here are some ideas.

i) a luxury car
Not given much thought to it.

ii) a supercar
The new Lambo Reventons look pretty tough, but I would settle for a cheap Gallardo.

iii) a run around everyday practical car
Benz CL

iv) a convertible for the cruising around in
Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet

The Reventons looks pretty incredible, I havent seen it tested yet, they just had a few shots of it on top gear and a quick video of the Stig driving it. Looks crazy, for 800,000BPS it should be utterly spectacular.

What car are you thinking of buying?

I drive the 06 Mustang GT and I love it so far. Yeah it's not the technically advanced whatever but it's loud and it's strong and the car's got a ton of personality. Proud to own it as a first car.

As for luxury, my father's looking into getting himself the SL 55 AMG and I would have to say that it's as good of a call on luxury as you can get. Either that or a Maserati Quattraporte.

Supercar will always be the Lamborghini Murcielago for me. Nothing will beat that. Ever.

Oh. And naturally, everything must be black on black.

Korean, Murcielago in black is really cool. Black suits lamborghinis a lot, makes them look very menacing.

Your Dad is going for an SL? If you dont mind me asking, how old is he? At home, an SL is very much a yuppie car for guys in their early 30's who work in the city, older than that and its thought to be a mid-life-crisis-mobile, especially with the top down!!

when do the new top gear episodes come out? Ive been watching the old episodes on BBC america and it is absolutely one of the best shows I have ever seen (not just car shows, but shows in general). I absolutely love it.
