one day i'd like to try living off the grid for awhile. does anyone else want to try this? maybe not permanently but say around a year or so, just in a cabin or something and live off plants, fish from the river, birds, deers, raise my own livestock etc. a little bit of supplementation from man made goods every month or so like soap, breads, etc.

I could never do that. I think I would go crazy not having anyone to talk to except animals.

I'm interested in self-sufficient living. Rainwater harvesting would be my first step.

i think it would be cool, but i'd want some project to work on too, like material to master or a book to write or something.

ill pick it up in due time. im joining the army for a few yrs like a bunch of people in my family have, ill probably pick up a few things a long the way.

breeding rabbits is pretty easy. they multiply quickly too.
