your experience with your boss...

Has anybody had a lousy relationship with their boss for an extended period of time (several months or years) and then was able to improve it? If yes, then how? If no, what, if anything, have you tried that did not work? Use your own definition of "lousy".

fuck dude i have been working with my boss for about 2yrs and still get nervous around him and we smoke weed together. so you have an idea of what my boss is like hes russian hes 30yrs old and hes cool as fuck but i can't cross that line from employee to a friend i dont know why and its killing me wtf is wrong.

in high school I worked in a restaurant and we had a really terrible boss a real **** that couldn't speak anything else then critic, so we teamed up agaisnt her and told the owner that he had to choose betwen us or her and he choose us(:

My bosses are really really cool. I got lucky super helpful, forgiving, etc. makes me feel guilty I spend so much time on Sherdog. LOL. Once people like you, you can get away with murder. XD

Whenever I had any kind of "falling out" with a boss who I used to get along with, it usually spiraled downward until I finally quit. I guess I'm not good a t reconciliation, or maybe it's that I don't ever trust someone again after I get fucked over by them.

I'd say it is best to keep business and personal relationship separate.

I had bosses like that too. Unfortunately, the current one is not like that.
