No they would have gotten the same treatment. You don't chose how sick someone is based on their background. She could have been complaining about a headache and told to go sit until she was called to be seen by a doctor. The problem with that waiting room is that the nurses sitting at the traige desk can not see any of the patients which is a big problem. The security officers are idiots and should face charges, they should have told someone from the nursing staff what was going on but then again the nurses should have been checking on them.

i'm not surprised it happened.. the wait times in emergency rooms are disgusting.. unfortunately.. people will slip through the cracks as our healthcare system is currently unsustainable..

I hate when people say things like this. Wait times are only disgusting for bullshit reasons. If you go in an ER because your foot hurts you are going to be seen after all the really sick people are seen. I once had a mother yell at me because her daughter had a rash and had been waiting for an hour meanwhile we had a little girl who was dying in the trauma room. Trust me if you were really that sick you would be seen right away. Some do slip through the cracks but as I said before if she was in an area where the nursing staff could have seen her this could all have been avoided. Tell people to stop coming to the ER because of sore throats and coughs and the wait won't be so long.

That's why I am grateful that I was not born and raised in a poverty infested 3rd world country where I am forced to cross hundreds of miles with the fear of getting robbed or killed to cross the boarder and get paid peanuts working 100+ hours a week to send money back home so my family can eat a decent meal and have a roof over their heads. I would do the same thing if I were them. You would too.

Oh, and general statements are for racists. It's up to you to admit who you are. I have a buddy who is a skin head. I'm a minority. We get along fine. We even used to go and train together. I know where he stands he knows where I stand. Closet racists make me sick though.

uhh.. no kidding.. i would have went into emergency medicine.. but by my own accounts.. 70% of the patients coming into the ER are not emergencies (e.g. back pain for 10 years.. drug seekers.. sniffles.. psych patients.. homeless people looking for food.. basically bullshit)..

And if we are talking about minorities.....NATIVE AMERICAN> my minority is basically the lowest of the low. So dont try to point the finger at me like im looking down on the poor poor minorities who BREAK THE LAW to get in to the country that was robbed from my ancestors.

Moron, the majority of Mexicans are classified as mestizos, a mix of Native American and Spaniard. The minority of Mexicans are indigious Native Americans. So as I stated before, FO/KY. I shall reply no more to your self hating rant. As iosephus stated, this isn't the War Room.
