just to fan the flames a little bit, a very large percentage of the greatest minds of this past century were vocal theists- including planck, einstein, and godel, probably the 3 most important minds.

But they believed in God, so they MUST be stupid. Completely irrational to believe in God. Some know it all that's in college that has heard some sam harris on youtube is smarter than this guy. OBVIOUSLY!!

LOL!!! I didn't even read this before I wrote my post above. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, I knew sam harris was behind this. So how old are you? 18? Were you raised in a religious family. Feeling pretty rebellious, are we?

Not even dawkins says that.

2. what a person thinks/believes does not affect how the universe works.

3. should be 100% certain that god does not exist... everything else is ignorant.

How does that add up to me claiming I know everything? it doesn't

"so you say that faith in an unprovable method that only find more things it can't explain is more rational that believing we aren't the center of the universe?"

this makes no sense lol... basically you asked "faith in science is better than believing in science? even though ur description of science is wrong its what u meant.

by this "an unprovable method that only find more things it can't explain" youre referring to science and then

by this "believing we aren't the center of the universe?" is also something that science has proven so try making sense.

I've thoroughly refuted every word of your post so now you can admit that it was stupid ... if you don't then everything you say from now on should be ignored.
I think you are a troll. I can only imagine. For anyone to be 100% if God does or does not exist is a bit crazy. I am 99.9% sure He does exist, but I don't know, maybe all the evidence I have seen is just a coincidence.

Why don't you rationalize the things that have happened to me in my life, that prove to me that God exists. IMO, it is a far greater stretch to think that everything has happened the way it has by coincidence, and not by the act of God. And if you have never experienced something like this, then you will never understand, nor can you understand, unless you witness it one day. I don't care what sam harris or someone on youtube says. Yes those people are smart, yes they have some good points, but my personal experiences trump them all. Call me stupid, say I'm not rational, but if you went through what I did, you would believe too, and it would be irrational not to believe.

Can you link me to the provable discovery that says God doesn't exist? I must have missed that one.

As a member of MENSA, I can tell you that high IQs are pretty meaningless. It's basically about as useful as having someone really famous as a distant relative. It allows you take make a quip about it once in a blue moon and that's as far as it goes.

And it doesn't matter what your IQ is ... if you're wrong, you're wrong.

From what I googled most of the sources say einstein did not believe in a "personal" god whatever that means and he was more of an agnostic. also.. "but it will come as a surprise to some to learn that Einstein clearly identified himself as an atheist and as an agnostic" no clue how u can be both but who cares it doesnt matter the majority ... i think about 85% of scientists are pretty certain there is no such thing as god or the supernatural
