Fear of failure ... he is logic , he doesnt have fear , he looks like he has very little of emotions from fears from irrational things that other people get . The other sentence , if that is the case , he would not be doing an inteview , and he would have suicided a long time ago . Or he would atleast be some drug addict , which would be the only thing that would give him a reason to live .
I understand what you mean , I had the idea aswell , but to be honest - he's smart , he should realise that he should do this , because it is the thing that he is most suited for , even if he doesnt want to . Heck he should be the guy , that doesnt care whether he likes it or not , but only cares if it good or bad in success . By that Im not saying that if he was to choose a job , he would choose one that would make him bored , yet was supposed to give him the most money , he would count the "fun" factor as a multiplyer of the salary or something
