That is supposed to be my schedule as well. However, I have had to work overtime every Friday for the last 7 months. Five 10 hour days sucks pretty bad, but we have dealines to meet and it has to be done.

This is the consequence of being an economic slave. If I was smarter, I would have opened up my own business or found a career that I could work for myself and no greedy boss or owner.

That's a pretty sweet deal. A damn site better than the 60+ hours per week I put in at the office.

I'd pick the 9 to 5.

Why?

* I have this choice at work and am really surprised by everyones responses!
I can't understand. The second choice has much more hours of work.

You should choose it because is well-waged (as overtime ?).

Send a message via MSN to Lion Man
i use to work 12 hours 7 days a week for 2 weeks and then the next two weeks you get 1 day off on each week.

That was retarted.

Now i have a new job and i work 8 hours per day and get my break paid for and make more money.

i did 13 hours shifts 5 times a week for a month cause i needed money, that sucked balls

i felt drained, went out less, and the dreams!!

fuk, like working wasn't enough i would have dreams of working. couldn't escape it

I'm a chef by the way and i love my job but something about the constant heat, smells, small burns and the occasional cut and the constant being on my feet took a small toll on me. After two days off of complete relaxation made me feel good as new

id take the 9 hours, but it depends on what the job was. if its not heavy lifting then gimme the 10 hour days. if its heavy work then gimme the 9 hour days. stress is nothin, backpain is forever.
