Depends on what kind of job you have. If your working for a career then its different, if its just a job, then yeah, whats wrong with telling the truth? If they fire you or you quit then find another of the hundreds of same type jobs. If it a career type job then its up to you, try to train on the weekends if you can.

most should be pretty ok with letting you have time to train, i take time off from my second job to train and my boss is pretty cool about it, but mostly because I work harder then most while I am there ( to show I appreciate that he lets me take time off).

If they're questioning your school schedule then they are either hard up workers on that day/shift or don't trust you (maybe somebody has ratted you out , like why I am I here every Friday night and Mr MMA is out training ) . I'd tell them thanks for the concern but mind their own shit . They have no right to ask you for your class schedule , that being said they have the right to fire your ass any time . Good Luck !

Whether you have school that day or not means nothing as far as your availablity is concerned. I don't see why they would need proof because technically you could say you want that day free to do sweet fuck all and it shouldn't make a difference.

shouldnt make a difference what you are doing. if you ask for it off then they should let you have it. just be a good employee the other days that you work. if they cant handle that, then get another job. Legally they are not allowed to ask you for any proof if you so stated your schedule before you were hired. if you changed it after you were hired, it is a different story. ask them to pull up your application and show them if it was stated before hand. if not, you are at their mercy. but a GOOD employer will always work with a GOOD employee if they are honest.
