As for the slow growth rates, this can happen to those that overtrain, in this case there is so much cortisol that it slows production of growth hormones which indirectly may slow down hormones, if women didnt train so hard, and were smart about it they would be fine. The studies on the sites you sent me are'nt so sure either, cause when your trying to deal with growth it has way to many variables to consider, very hard to pin down.
There is a plausibility with high impact on landings damaging grwoth plates, or damage disc in your spine, yes this will stunt growth, but usually your sports career ends or stalls when this happens.
