i could go on about this great state for ages but i couldnt cover it all before my attention span wears out

been lots of places, but it always feels like home base. it really is a great place, cant say it enough

and i find it funny everyone's idea of california is totally based around the LA or SF areas haha... 60 miles outside of LA has a totally different pace

Cali, specially SF Bay Area, is the shit. Laid back city with plenty of parks and outdoors, technological capital of the world, high quality of life, great ethnic diversity, beautiful weather.

And the craziest Golden State Warriors fans at Oracle Arena (but say goodbye to that now that B. Diddy is going to the Clippers).

There's a reason that anytime I take a college class or join a gym or something, I meet people who packed up and left their shitty states in order to move to CA. There's a reason when marines get stationed here, they stay here after they get out. There's a reason everytime one of my friend's families has moved away, the kids would rather work full time while going to school just so they can stay in CA instead of moving away with their family. There's a reason people vacation here, and no one from here vacations in other shitty states. CA > All.

My only problem with California is the high price of housing and cost of living. However, the high price is probably justified by the surrounding/lifestyle in California.
I lived in West Palm Beach, Florida for 7 years growing up. When I tell people that I like Indiana better for living (Florida better for visiting), they think I'm crazy. The traffic, heat, crime, cost of living, metros, etc. wear on you after a while.
It's all a matter of preference. However, I don't think anyone could say they'd rather live in Wisconsin (or the midwest for that matter) than California if the circumstances were identical (i.e. family located nearby, able to afford same size house, able to go to school for same price, etc.).
