I doubt Home will be able to truly fill the void either... it's like the Sims in the form of a game lobby, I get it.

The 360 has the best interface, the better games selection, in terms of exclusives, at least until MGS 4 becomes available and PS3 gains a bit of ground. Right now you can get Mass Effect, Gears of War, Fable 2, Bioshock, etc.
Is it an older generation system? Microsoft extended the warranty to three years on those, you can send it in and get it fixed for free.

Only if it's the RRoD.

I own both and play my PS3 more. Although I am not much of an online gamer (since console gaming online is awful as it is), so live really isn't important to me.

My advice is if you love online gaming (especially FPS's, RTS) then get a new PC. If you just want to do some single player stuff on a lot of different genres, get a PS3.

The PS3 WILL be taking over in the next year. The 360 won't be able to use the "We have a better game library though.." Excuse much longer, after MGS, Socom 4, Killzone 2, RFOM 2, Final Fantasy 13, God of War 3, little big planet and many more.

Not to mention the recent price drops and extinction of HD DVD, the PS3 will be the new premier system by early 2009.

The games, it comes down to the games.

Take a look at the exclusives on all 3 systems and decide from there.

PS3 - winner, Theres a reason why they consistantly are amongst the best selling video games/other products, because they put out quality.. Microsoft. has put out nothing but crap for ages.. Make the smart choice choose Sony..

360 - loser, personaly i like the 360.. it fit's all my needs.. BUT huge problems with them and there customer service.. Ive went through 2 360's in 3 years.. And how fitting that my warranty runs out 2-6 weeks before the problems start rolling in..

Wii - Fruity system.. nuff sed..

PS3. If you have a nice WS TV then it's a no brainer. You get a cheap blu-ray drive which is AWESOME and you don't have to deal with a system that could burn out and you have to deal with sending it back and forth for months.

I went PS3. Sometimes when game shopping I'd rather have got a 360.

But for me I'm not a fan of the controls. Don't like the idea of my machine breaking, and having to send it back 100 times like my friends as well.

I'm happy with the ps3 games. I'm not a big gaming whore so I could care less just as long as it entertains me enough when I'm bored.

You cant go wrong with either really.
