Wii, PS3 or x-box 360?

Ok i need to buy one of these three soon. My brother has a ps3 which i have played a little, but hes now taken it away to college with him.

Im thinking ps3 myself, purely because it seems to have the best features

the girlfriend wants a wii, but other then the initial novelty of it, are the games any good?

They look a little basic for me, i perfer things like rpgs, gta type games,, first person shooters etc

thoughts?

they are very similiar here are some of the key differences

Xbox

- bigger and better games library

- better controls

- better online system

- have to pay to play online (live)

- Consoles have been unreliable in the past with a high failure rate (although they seem pretty good now so you would be good)

PS3

- not many games

- Blue Ray player

- Free online play

I say go with the 360 as it has ALOT more exclusive quality games than the PS3.

if someone in your family already has a PS3 then why get another one..... get a 360.

Wii is not in the same terms as those two systems. Wii sucks.

That's exactly why I got the Wii - it offers things the other two don't.

I have all 3 but ps3 and 360 bore me. Personal preference.

Plus you can load all kinds of older nintendo/neo geo/t.graphix/capcom/etc etc games.

You're right tho - if someone in the family already has a ps3, no reason to get another.

i agree Wii isnt the same but it certainly doesnt suck. Its the highest selling console this generation for a reason. Has some of the best games with Zelda/Mario/Metroid/Res Evil/No More Heroes aswell.

Although i went with the 360 this gen because it offers more depth

It depends on some questions. Do you play online alot? Do you have a HD tv?

If youre a online gamer, then xbox is where to go. Heard it has a sweet online set up.

If you have a HD tv, then I say the PS3 cos the graphics will look great on it AND cos of the Blu Ray. It looks amazing on my friends tv.

I chose the PS3 cos I had a PS2, and future games like ****l Gear 4, Gran Turismo 5, God of War 3, and Resident Evil 5. Also, was use to the controller scheme. I think its the best controller to date.

graphics on 360 and PS3 games are pretty much identical son.
