Cause it's romantic. It's not that hard to understand. Sing a song, play a guitar, give her roses, light some candles, put petals on the bed, etc.

edit: JSN is right. Romance is only good for special occasions.

I like it when a girl can sing. I just don't pretend that it's a more important attribute than T&A like women do.

girls like a guy with some sort of talent. I myself play guitar at small shows and after the show girls usally flirt a little and sometimes leave a number. It comes down to if your an interesting person and as we all know girls love to be entertained.

Hmm I'm lookin more for triggers/traits more psychology than just "its romantic". That's easy to understand but I'm lookin more for why.

Well, it's like a courting ritual. Some animals dance, some animals sing, some display colors and some fight.

Humans do all of them to appeal to the opposite sex. It impresses the female and shows her that the male has genes that are worth continuing in the grand scheme of things.

well to me we're talking about 2 different turn ons, possibly 3.

just in terms of singing, girls are going to be turned on to you anytime you show some kind of appreciable skill or creative capacity. anyone respects that, male or female.

where the big time turn ons come in, IMO, is when you're showcased (in this case) singing in a format where you are the transmitter and they are the receiver. people are turned on period when this type of thing occurs- you're the center of attention, everyone is fixated on you, and in some way you are the only thing that matters in that type of medium.

this will transfix anyone, it's just that for the women it tends to turn them on sexually, as opposed to a guy thinking more something along the lines of, "this guy is cool as hell!" hell you see guys in bands, even very small ones, with dudes buying them all they can drink because they're fixated on the stage persona, albiet not sexually.
