I've heard her songs at clubs, seen her over-stylistic music videos online, and even laughed at some of her outrageously horrible outfits. Never really cared to look up her live performances on youtube until the last few days, and to be honest, I'm quite impressed.
I usually detest pop music due to the fact that the majority of the singers can't perform and lipsync their whole concert tours (even the Pussycat Dolls do that, which I REALLY wanted to like them for another reason besides the fact they're all hot). But of all the videos of Lady Gaga I've watched over the last few days, she is always....
1. Not lipsyncing
2. On Key
3. Dancing to complicated choreography (very hard to do while singing on key)
4. Recorded back-up vocals don't drown out her lead vocals.
As for the visual performances, well, she's always has something extremely different for us to watch for each song. It's never the same thing twice. It reminds me of Madonna, who never relied on her singing ability to stay famous, she evolved her style with the times. Hopefully Lady Gaga will be around for a long time to come, and not relying on her laughably bad costumes she wears to award shows.
And hell, if you haven't heard South Park's parody of her, it's fucking hilarious!
I don't. It just looks like a bunch of rubbing thrown together, hoping it'd all come out together artistically.

she definitely has her talents, her music is enjoyable although quite schlocky, and overall it seems like she's doing some fine line parody of club singers who take themselves too seriously. i give her a B-.

the one that pisses me off the most is Katy Perry. she has all the musical talent in the world and makes the absolute worst songs ever. the definition of a sell-out.
