Who doesn't like reading fiction?

I myself don't care to read fiction anymore. Well aside from disputed fiction (my enigma/mysteries thread for example). Non-fiction, biographies, all of that stuff I can read. Fiction, just can't do it anymore. Though I do read screenplays and enjoy them. They are usually shorter, I also like to see how a movie unfolds from written to filmed. Fiction novels or short stories just aren't entertaining to me anymore.

Comments? Questions? Thoughts? Opinions?

Only read fiction that stands the test of time like Don Quixote or Bridge over San Luis Rey. I too prefer to read non-fiction with a focus on international politics and biographies.

Some of my favorite books are fiction. I love reading Stephen King and Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal is probably the funniest thing I have ever read.

ok, that's a good point. my 2 favorite fiction books are probably Candide and Don Quixote. I still reread them from time to time.

I think some fiction work plays out the same as non-fiction. If the writer is good enough, you can't tell the difference. Most of Bukowski's work is a mixture of both.

I prefer reading fiction to watching movies. Movies just don't hold my attention like a good book.

ditto, can't read most of the stuff anymore. only classics as well; alice's adventures in wonderland is one of my favorite books.
