What's a "Pixifood"?

It's a food that tastes great when you're a kid, but horrible as an adult, according to writer Joe Posnanski. For example, Posnanski remembers liking Necco Wafers when he was young, but he likens them to "sidewalk chalk" now. The same could be said of pink snowballs, though I've always run far from those. Spaghetti-O's, FunDip, candy cigarettes and Tang also make the cut.

btw, who the hell EVER liked Necco Wafers...?!

I have ALWAYS hated that sorry excuse for a piece of candy... blaahh... Tums taste better.

Pixiesticks were rad when I was a kid. Now even the thought of downing a starw full of sugar makes me sick and gives me an instant caviety

Cotton Candy on the list...?!!?

Blasphemy!!! Cotton candy is mostly AIR! A big thing of cotton candy has less sugar than a can of coke!

I dont like Spaghetti-O's anymore either...but loved em as a kid...

string cheese makes my list as well as lunchmeat lunchables (still like pizza/nachos)

Really? No way! That just doesnt seem right, but who knows, Coke is pretty heavy onthe sugar.

Though I still do like cotton candy.

Popsicles covered with sand or sidewalk dirt come to mind. Now I actually wash them...sometimes...if somebody's watching when I drop it...

One thing I noticed is that when you're a kid all the spaghetti-o's are different and awesome, but when you try them now they all taste the same... In fact all that Chef Boyardee stuff taste the exact same to me now.
