Star Ocean: Till the End of Time kept me busy for over 100 hours. Good story and great fight mechanics.

I will have to ask my brother sometime, I guess you mean Japanese type rpgs.

if you like hack n slash types the Champions of Norrath and corresponding expansion Call to Arms are reasonably engaging.

are any of the Xenosaga games still available ? I have often heard them mentioned (along with Chronotrigger) and would like to give them a try sometime. Even if I dont play them my younger brother surely will, he still plays BoF 2 !

Xenosaga you can find easily, I bought all three at a game store for $40 total.

Xenogears (PS1) will be extremely difficult for you to find locally, but isn't really relevant to Xenosaga anyway. (Great game though.)

Chrono Trigger, you should probably just download an emulator for.

Persona 3 came out not too long ago on PS2 and it's one of the best RPGs I've played on any system. Very addictive and fun and I hear it's a very long game.
