is there a college that teaches veterinary medicine you can take her to? they will likely have some good equipment and be up on current things.

Is the dog eating a normal amount and not gaining? Pooping it all out? Good luck. It's a tough choice, but it sounds like you've done what you can.

I love dogs, but if i was in ur shoes I'd do my best to keep her alive, but then I would just let God or destiny decide wat happens 2 her, if she's meant 2 live then she will if not she won't such is life, thats just my opinion.

Ive owned and been around many dogs.

by the sounds of things you got her from a very bad owner/breeder.

from my expirence, INBRED dogs are much like what you are discribing. they appear very boney and a bit lazy. this is a result of crappy breeders, cooping dogs up with eachother, not fixing them and letting them breed with there brothers and sisters. this can go on for generations.

dogs ive seen like this live a normal life span but dont seem to be obedient and never get fully trained.

just my 2 cents

good job on reporting those bastards!

Thats real tough , my bro has a pitbull and an amstaff and they are great dogs.(Both shelter dogs by the way, bro tried to save a 3rd too) It sucks to hear about an animal lover like yourself in a tough situation. It only takes a minute to fall in love with a pet.

I have to honestly ask though, why did you purchase a dog when it was coming from that kind of place? I know your instinct was to save these animals, but you should have known it would result in bad things. Should have just reported both of those shitheads who wouldnt take care of thier dogs.

Anyways since you did an admirable thing and took home one of those dogs, I think you should do what you think is best for yourself , your wife and the animal. If you do decide its best to put the animal down just think of this one thing; The short time that dog has spent with you (someone who cares) was probably the happiest time of its life and im sure he/she will rest in peace knowing how much you cared.

End the suffering, before you get too emotionally attached to the dog also

I'd say wait a few months and see what happens.

It doesn't sound like you've had her long, although the intestinal problems may make the decision for you (if she suffers you should get her put down. She MAY recover, but she may get worse and then it gets cruel).

I'm a huge dog lover, I'm 25 but had 2 dogs, one lived to 19 (when i was 20 and we had him from when I was 2) the other is still going but had problems and he's 5 this year.

I say give the pup a chance. You will know when the time comes. At least you have done everything you can do. Good job with the pup and also reporting the people. A judge should send them to jail and make sure they can never own a animal again. I hope they don’t have any kids.
